Angelina Hot Chocolate

Description

Angelina's Restaurant/Cafe has been a Paris favorite with locals and tourists for over a century.  Sit back in the gilt and gold Belle Epoque style dining room and enjoy a deliciously rich hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream.  

The house special pastry is the Mont Blanc but our favorite is the citrus tart.  

The dining room also serves breakfast and lunch but it's impossible for me to imagine going there and being able to resist a hot chocolate.

If you find the hot chocolate too rich just ask for a jug of warm milk so that you can thin it down a little.   If you have children you might want to start by ordering one portion and letting them try it first.   The service is excellent and they have no problem with you sharing.

You can get hot chocolate and pastries to go but I think to really savor the experience you are much better waiting the few minutes for a table and soaking up the atmosphere in the beautiful dining room.

The hot chocolate mix makes a great gift for chocolate lovers.  The 400gram bag sells for 10€.
