Description
Autochrome is an early
color photography process patented by
the Lumiere brothers in France
in 1903. The "Bretagne
- voyager en
couleurs" exhibition is an amazing collection of photographs
and films
taken in Brittany
from 1907 - 1929 by photographers using this new color process.
Photographers captured everything about Brittany
including historical sites, landscapes, and sea views, scenes from
everyday
life, work and religious ceremonies. The addition of color
gave new feeling to these photographs.
When you visit the Albert Kahn museum in Boulogne
plan to spend an additional hour
enjoying the beautiful gardens (exhibition and gardens are included in
the one entrance
fee).
