Munch, whose greatest known single work was "The Scream or The Cry", played a vital role in the development of European expressionism. His early work often portrayed themes of misery, sickness, and death. The Munch Exhibition in Paris takes a new look at his work including prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, photographs and films to give a thorough understanding of this artist and his legacy.
