Description
Paris Photo is an international photography
fair featuring over 100 exhibitors from 23 different
countries. The exhibition presents a panoramic overview of
photographic expression spanning the 19th century to the present day.
Paris Photo was created in 1997 by Rik Gadella, a
Dutch publisher and soon became the world’s first photography
fair.
The 2009 fair is being held at the Carrousel du
Louvre and this year welcomes seven new countries (Iran, Lebanoon,
Morocco, Portugal, Russia, Tunisia and the
United Arab Emirates).
The Central Exhibition to this years fair unveils a selection of rare
studio photographs from the archives of the Arab Image Foundation in
Beirut.
